Yes, heads up to scammers: people from Commonwealth nations are typically well-educated, and South Africans are no exception. They typically use very precise writing with no grammatical errors. Debbie's email in response to my room for lease was rife with poor sentence structure and punctuation errors. Here'e an exerpt:
"I'm quite comfortable with the available room and Ideally a 3-12 months lease is fine, I am coming from Camps-Bay, Cape Town South Africa and will be arriving on April 1st."

Yes, I received an email from this person yesterday asking if my sublet room was still available. Thought it was fishy, so googled her. Came to this site. Good thing I did.

Yep - just received an email reply toy room foe rwnt from this scamme r - she signs off "God Bless" - always a red flag. I guess she hasn't seen all the websites dedicated to her scammer ID?

Last year I posted an ad on Craig's list for a room. She was claiming to be in Ireland and her dad who is going to cover her deposit and rent lives in Pennsylvania. Now this same debbie is responding to my current Craigslist ad claiming to be in South Africa and dad lives in Colorado. She asked for my personal email address to send me pictures and a biography of herself. I told her that we do not need a picture or biography we do not discriminate. we ask for a deposit and the first months rent that's all. She sent her life story anyway. we haven't got to the part where she sends a fake money order yet.I think I'm going to have some fun with this b**** this time.

I want to make everyone aware thats posting an ad offering housing to beware of a "Debbie F Moyer" I was offering housing a few weeks ago and a female by the name of Debbie F Moyer claimed she was interested and told me shes from Africa and that her mom has breast cancer so she will be coming to the states. I asked for 605 for my apt and she told me her uncle would send me a money order in the mail. When I got a money order of $2500 i knew something was fishy. She then asked me to wire back some of the money to her. At that point I knew she was a scam so I did some research and came to find out they sent fake money orders and I wasnt the first victim. PLEASE BEWARE OF HER! She claims to be a 29 year old caucasion female divorced school teacher. and she will give you a sick, fake pity story so please dont fall for it! Spread the word
