He tried the same exact scam on me in response to one of my Craigs list ads.
His first email came from different email address: uuttegamne@gmail.com. No name in the email, just from a b.
I did report it to craigslist as a scam.
I was suspicious of his original email and didn't give him phone or address. Also my ad says Cash Only and he wanted to use Cashiers Check (NEVER accept those-easily counterfeited)

Glad I looked this up, was contacted by this person & offered $30 over asking price as others have stated. His asking for my address & phone was a red flag. He has been filtered & deleted.

Well.. wish I googled his email before i agreed... but jokes on him and i have a p.o. box. and a gave a fake name.. by the way i am selling a bikini and he is a man..so he offered $30 extra same story about london as others have said and then he wrote back later saying his "idiot secretary" wrote the check for too much so I would need to wire him the difference..obviously a scam.

Sent me an email offering $30 above the original asking price because it would take him a extra couple days. Almost fell for it but the you cash it before I pick it up part didn't really make sense. I wonder if this guy actually ever gets anything because the checks must be fake. I have a feeling this guy tries to get peoples addresses for valuable items (I posted a HD television) so he can later steal them. DO NOT TRUST THIS GUY ITS NOT REAL. TELL HIM TO GO **** HIMSELF AFTER YOU READ THIS LIKE I DID!

Same here.
He answered an ad on Craigslist.
Pretends to be on a business trip in London and having his assistant mailing you a check before picking up the item, therefore he'd be willing to pay $30.00 more for delay.
Sounds like scam to me.

Definitely sounds like a scam to me.
