I am currently traveling in the US and picked up on this old complaint by Monica.I corresponded with her briefly because it is my intent to also travel through South America. I did not make any attempt to mislead Monica in any way an did not ask her for any favours. It was an honest attempt to secure information.

This person says he is journalist, have been working for newspapers and as PR for SASOL and IBM in his country, South Africa. He says he still lives there and wants to cross South America in a motorbicke. For this purpose, he asked me for information to help him to find the best way to travel across Argentina and the rest of S.America till Alaska. So far, is the only request he has asked me for.
I cheked up and Johann van Rheede really exists and have worked or still work for SASOL in South Africa.
