PayPal Email ID PP1589 ---------------------------------------- User Comment: This is a Paypal scam mail that is intended to steal your password and robbed your account clean. I had received numerous scam mails originated from this IP. The address is always the same, It is always at Ellen Street, between Marlone Road and Byerley Street at San Jose, California. Which is a private residential block, not Paypal headquarter at 2211 N 1st St, San Jose, Santa Clara, California 95131. The scammer has made threat in the past and now he/she is trying to sound nicer to get you to click on their fake link. I'm posting this so you would known what a Paypal scam look like and what a scammer would say.

There Should be a way to BlackList both ebay and paypal, especially when certain 'people' (if you can call them that)are always trying to scam you with these emails. The BS message is below.. gotta love the way they simply put "sender" instead of the name, IP, or address*: ...................................... Just thought you'd like to know eBay, Inc sent you =240.21 USD. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Note from sender, eBay, Inc:Epinions_Income_Share_Payout for 2014-02-01 Claim Your Money Now https://www.paypal.com/us/links/uni/em=3D'removed'&txn_id=3D= 7AV39261UD9478032&create_type=3D0 Once the money's there you can: Spend the money online at thousands of stores that accept PayPal. Transfer it to your bank account (takes 2-3 days). Get a PayPal Debit MasterCard. Button not working? To claim your money, sign up for an account using this email address: = *removed. If you already have a PayPal account, just add = this email address to it. When that's done - and you've confirmed your email address - this payment = will show up in your PayPal account. Complaint by Jrs :

just got an email from this IP, and am only able to find "PayPal" by looking at the headers, and the message is supposedly coming from "roots and rythyms" @ toast... There is nothing at all in the body of the text, nor any attachments. Weird.

Please help us keep Internet safer and cleaner by leaving a descriptive comment about 173.0.84.228 IP address

DNSBL* - is a list of IP addresses published through the Internet Domain Name Service (DNS) either as a zone file that can be used by DNS server software, or as a live DNS zone that can be queried in real-time. DNSBLs are most often used to publish the addresses of computers or networks linked to spamming; most mail server software can be configured to reject or flag messages which have been sent from a site listed on one or more such lists.

WHOIS** - is a query/response protocol that is widely used for querying databases in order to determine the registrant or assignee of Internet resources, such as a domain name, an IP address block, or an autonomous system number. WHOIS lookups were traditionally performed with a command line interface application, and network administrators predominantly still use this method, but many simplified web-based tools exist. WHOIS services are typically communicated using the Transmission Control Protocol (TCP). Servers listen to requests on the well-known port number 43.

** Approximate Geographic Location - This is NOT the exact geographical location of the person/organization with the given IP address. However, this should still give you a good idea about the area/region where this person/orgranization is located.
