Just noticed some bizarre traffic trying to poke at our servers like a mosquito with a drill. It was coming at weird hours almost as if someone was bored at 3 AM and decided to play hacker. I cant shake the feeling that pr0bably its a script kiddie messing with our defences for kicks. The patterns dont match normal user behavior and its definitely not our marketing tools. Ive logged it and alerted the team but it still gives me a creeped out vibe. Its not everyday you see such sloppy probing and ive seen plenty over the years. Im half tempted to send them a cup of coffee cause they seem tired if they think this is stealthy. This might blow over but knowing how fast these things spread Id stay watchful. Cant help but wonder if theyre testing some new toy or just bored on a rainy afternoon. Either way I recommend keeping your eyes peeled and your firewalls on full alert.
